TWO WEEKS LEFT TO BUY TICKETS FOR VISA PARALYMPIC WORLD CUP
26 Apr 2007 14:01

There is less than two weeks left until some of the best Paralympic swimmers from around the world descend on Manchester for the Visa Paralympic World Cup (VPWC).

Running from 7-13 May, swimming is one of four sports involved at the VPWC and events in the pool take place on Saturday 12th May. This is the third year the event has been run and in previous years more than 340 athletes from 40 countries have taken part.

In 2006, Britain was the most successful nation in the pool with five gold, two silver and two bronze medals, but a change in the programme means none of the GB swimmers will be defending their titles.

However, 10 swimmers from last year’s competition are back this year, including World Champion Dave Roberts, Sascha Kindred and Natalie Jones. And newcomers Emma Cattle, Jonathan Fox and Matt Whorwood will also be looking to impress on their first World Cup outing.

Tickets cost £3 per day and are available to purchase on 0870 165 2005 or CLICK HERE to buy online.
