DC Leisure’s Mark Haslam is to chair the Amateur Swimming Association’s (ASA) inaugural Swimming Teaching Conference next month.
As swimming group manager for one of the largest facility management companies in the country, Haslam has forged a strong relationship with the ASA and runs the National Plan for Teaching Swimming across 65 sites.
“I am honoured to chair the ASA’s first ever swimming teaching conference,” he said. “The fact the ASA has invited a commercial partner to play a part in the day shows how much the organisation has moved forward and how much it values its business partnerships.
“I am excited to be involved at the unveiling of the new National Plan and I’m looking forward to finding out how it will enhance our current swimming provision.”
The ASA Swimming Teaching Conference takes place at Walkers Stadium, Leicester on Thursday 26 April.
Affiliated ASA and IoS members can attend the conference for as little as £45 and delegates will receive a certificate worth five points towards the ASA Licensing scheme.
