DON’T MISS THE ASA SWIMMING TEACHING CONFERENCE
02 Mar 2007 15:58

Book your place at the ASA’s inaugural Swimming Teaching Conference and be the first to hear about the new National Plan for Teaching Swimming.

A must for leisure providers, swimming teachers and anyone involved in the delivery of learn-to-swim schemes, the ASA’s first ever Swimming Teaching Conference takes place on Thursday 26 April at the Walkers Stadium in Leicester.

British Swimming Performance Director Bill Sweetenham will open the conference and underline the importance of quality learn-to-swim provision to produce gold medallists.

The conference is centred on the official unveiling of the new National Plan for Teaching Swimming and will explain the rationale behind the new structure, how it will be implemented nationwide and how it underpins the new UK Coaching Certificate teaching qualifications planned for launch in September.

Find out about the updated Kellogg’s ASA Awards scheme and speak to the people involved with the Plan’s redesign.

The day-long conference also includes presentations on school swimming, the new UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC), Approved Education Centre Status and teacher and coach licensing as well as an inspirational session with Olympic bronze medallist Steve Parry.
