The ASA’s Everyday Swim programme has launched its first newsletter which will be available every month online and in hard copy.
Everyday Swim is a pioneering national pilot to remove the barriers to swimming and get more people into the country’s pools for fun and fitness and as part of a healthy lifestyle. Spearheaded by the ASA, the project is funded nationally by Sport England and by local funding partners in each of the eight areas.
Projects are currently underway in Suffolk, Easington (County Durham), Telford and Wrekin, Woking, Kirklees, Lewisham, Islington and the Wirral.
The Everyday Swim newsletter provides updates on the project and key learning points that will be of interest to anyone involved in health and fitness provision. The newsletter is also relevant for anyone with an interest in the impact of physical activity, be that on sport, communities, health, well-being or equality.
The newsletter will be available online on www.everydayswim.org every month and hard copies will be distributed with Wavelength.
