Young Diving sensation Tom Daley has taken bronze in the men’s 10m Platform at the second leg of the FINA Diving World Series in Changzhou, China.

On his way to the final, Daley won his semi-final with a huge score of 532.95 and beat Olympic Champion Matthew Mitcham into third place. Mitcham failed to progress to the final while Daley celebrated his highest ever score in competition.

Olympian Daley went one better in the final and scored another impressive final score of 540.70 even though he dropped marks on one dive.  He now goes into the Sheffield leg of the series with a bronze medal already under his belt.

Fourteen-year-old, Daley, finished just behind China’s silver medallist Qiu Bo with a score of 542.25 and the gold medal was won by China’s Luxin Zhou with a total of 560.00.
