GENERAL INFORMATION

First sporting success: Winning the 4x100m freestyle relay at Nationals 2003

Finest sporting moment: Making it into the European Youth Olympic Festival squad

Tip for the top: Keep focused at all times

First GB selection year: 2005

Sporting heroes: Ian Thorpe, Michael Phelps and Grant Hackett

Favourite sport other than swimming: Football! I'm a massive Manchester United fan

Three words that best describe you: Funny, friendly and good to be with

Would most like to meet: Michael Phelps

Most prized possession: All of my medals from the Nationals

Any other family connections to sport: My Great Granddad used to play for Newcastle United

Toughest opponent: In my age group that would be Grant Turner and Jonathan Cook. Then there are all of the older GB swimmers too

Biggest passion away from swimming: Playstation

Favourite venue and why: Manchester Aquatics Centre because I always swim fast and well there

Tips to relax: Play on the computer

Family: My mum is called Kim and she is a porter at the University of Cambridge. My dad is called Keith and he works for building control for the council. I've got a brother and sister too. My brother is called Sean and  my sister is called Emma.

Ultimate ambition: To win an Olympic gold medal and have world records

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Still swimming and hopefully swam at the Olympics by then too
