Finest sporting moment: Winning a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games (2006) behind Leisel Jones (AUS)

Tip for the top: Have faith in yourself

First GB selection year: As a junior in 2000, as a senior it was 2001

Closest friends in sport: Rebecca Cooke, Mel Marshall and Katy Sexton

Other sporting successes: Scottish 10-year-old Orienteering Champion!

Three words that best describe you: Friendly, determined and focused

Most prized possession: Good health and staying injury free

Biggest influence on career: My coach and team mates

Toughest opponent: Doubts and fears

Any other family connections to sport: My Dad is a triathlete and represented Great Britain. He won the World Triathlete Championships in 2004. He is also the one who got me involved in swimming when I was younger.

Biggest passion away from swimming: My church life as I'm Christian. It's all gospel type music, I really enjoy it because it's fantastic to listen to

How do you prepare to race: Listen to music and pray

Biggest disappointment: Knowing I could've done better

Favourite venue and why: Ponds Forge, Sheffield because I qualified for the 2004 Olympics there

Ultimate ambition: To do my best at whatever task or challenge I’m faced with

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Married with kids and working for my church
