Finest sporting success: Winning a gold medal at the European Championships 2006 (50m) in the 4x100m Medley Relay and breakinng the junior record in the 50m Freestyle

Tip for the top: Train harder than anyone else, have a better diet than anyone else and you'll reach the top

Closest friends in sport: Everyone at the City of Liverpool

Other sporting successes: When I was at Primary school I won the egg and spoon race 5 years in a row!! But I always struggled with the sack race - my legs were too long!

Favourite sport other than swimming: I like playing golf and watching Manchester United

Would most like to meet: Peter Kay

Most prized possession: My shoe collection!

Biggest influence on career: My parents

Any other family connections to sport: My brother plays football for the local team and he's also a county squash player

Toughest opponent: Everyone I swim against

Any pets: I have a cat called Trixie and some fish

Biggest passion away from swimming: Staying in bed ad getting lots of sleep!

How do you prepare to race: I prepare by talking to lots of people to try and take my mind off the race

Favourite venue and why: In my sleep! When I sleep I always win in my dreams so that is definitely the best venue!

Tips to relax: Chill out with friends and eat pizza!

Family: My mum is called Diane and she works in a job centre. My dad is called Andrew and he's a National Sales Manager for a finance company. I also have a little brother is called Joe

Ultimate ambition: To win an Olympic gold medal. I'd love to go to Beijing in 2008

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: To have just won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics and then retire
