GENERAL INFORMATION

Finest sporting moment: Winning gold in the 50m Backstroke at the Commonwealth Games (2006)

Tip for the top: Believe in yourself, if you don't, then no one else will!

First GB selection year: 2000

Sporting heroes: Michael Johnson, Kelly Slater

Closest friends in sport: Matt Bowe and Lee Forster

Favourite sport other than swimming: Rugby

Three words that best describe you: Laid back, motivated and friendly

Would most like to meet: Lance Armstrong

Biggest influence on career: My mum, she has always believed in me and supported me regardless of how badly I may have swam

Toughest opponent: Roy, it's always a fight in training to swim past his waves!

Biggest passion away from swimming: KFC Wednesdays!

How do you prepare to race: I prepare by staying relaxed and I focus on the specifics

Biggest disappointment: Slipping at the start of my first national final and then coming last by 2 seconds

Education: I've got one year left of my degree in Business Administration which I am doing at Bath University, although I've taken a couple of years out for swimming

Ultimate ambition: Retire when I have accomplished all of my dreams

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In Tahiti
