| Selected for Commonwealth Games 2006, European Championships 2006 and World Championships 2007
First sporting success: Turning up to a club session not knowing we had a competition and then winning it!
Finest sporting moment: Winning the overall trophy at the 2004 National Championships and getting into the GB Performance Squad
Biggest disappointment: Not getting into the first GB selection because my 400m timed was four seconds too slow and so I couldn't carry on the trial
First GB selection year: 2000
Tip for the top: Dedication and commitment. It's all about mental toughness and wanting to do it
How did you get involved with synchro: I wanted to start swimming lessons after doing eight years of gymnastics and the swimming teacher said I should try synchronised swimming and I loved it from the first day
Sporting hero: Virginie Dedieu
Closest friend in sport: Jenna Randall
Favourite sport other than synchro: Hockey and football. I like watching Manchester United play
Other sporting successes: I played in the 1st team for hockey at the University of Wolverhampton and we came second in the league!
Three words that best describe you: Honest, committed and lively
Would most like to meet: David Beckham
Most prized possession: Overall National Trophy, my car and mobile phone
Biggest influence on your career: Adele Carlsen
Biggest passion away from synchro: My Masters degree
Biggest disappointment: Not swimming at the Commonwealth Games (2006)
Toughest opponent: Jenna Randall
Favourite venue and why: Heliopolis Pool in Egypt because it's outdoors, deep, big and the sun always shines!
Any other family connections to sport: My sister was once a National Age Group solo, duet and team champion
How do you prepare to compete: I prepare by walking through the routine and focusing on my performance. I always do a mental rehearsal
Education: I'm currently doing my Masters in Events Management at Bournemouth University
Tips to relax: Listen to your favourite music on your headphones so that you can block out any other stresses around you
Ultimate ambition: To be happy
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Hopefully living abroad
