GENERAL INFORMATION

First sporting success: Swimming in my club gala when I was 9. I was swimming for Teddington SC when I was that age

Finest sporting moment: Swimming in the European Junior Championships in 2004 and winning bronze in the 4x200m freestyle relay

Tip for the top: Work hard in training and always listen to what your coach tells you- they are always right!

First GB selection year: 2004

Sporting heroes: Gary Hall Jnr. He always fights back but has a nice laid-back approach

Closest friend in sport: Liam Smith and Mark Branch

Other sporting successes: I was national modern penthalon champion. I also played in the Millfield football team as well as tennis and cricket

Favourite sport other than swimming: Football- I'm a massive Tottenham Hotspur fan

Three words that best describe you: Laid-back, focused and need to achieve

Would most like to meet: Jack Johnson and Mischa Barton (Marissa from The O.C, Channel 4)

Most prized possession: My swimming momentos and pictures

Biggest influence on career: Ed Sinclair- we train together and I really look up to him and try and follow his example. Also my coach Doug Campbell. He has created my into the swimmer I am today.

Toughest opponent: The Bean, who is more commonly known as James Clarke!

Any pets: I have a rabbit and some goldfish

Biggest passion away from swimming: Football before I stopped playing. A while back I broke my elbow playing football and I was out injured from all sports for 6 months. It took me 2 years to get back to personal best times so have never taken it up again!

Biggest disappointment: In 2001 I made the world class potential time for the 200m freestyle relay team but didn't make it onto the programme

Favourite venue and why: The Irvine pool in California. It's amazing!

Tips to relax: Listen to music and watch some good films

Education: I'm in Year 13 at Millfield. I'm studying Business Studies, Design and P.E. It's really good at Millfield because all of my lessons are worked around my training so it's not difficult to find the balance between work and swimming which does take the pressure off you

Family: My mum is called Keris and she is a nursery teacher. My dad is called Ben he's a Detective and a FINA starter. I have a sister called Vicki and she's 13 and two brothers called Chris and Jonathan and they're 16 and 24.

Ultimate ambition: To make to 2012 Olympics. I'd love to go to Beijing in 2008 but 2012 is probably a more realistic aim for me

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Completing a Business degree in Kentucky and hopefully then to go and do a Law degree in California and become a Lawyer
