PERSONAL:

First sporting success: In 1998 I came eighth as a novice at the Northern Counties Figure competition.

Finest sporting moment: In 2005 I had England Junior Development squad training, selection and competitions. This meant that club level, routines were hastily choreographed and intensely practised at the last minute prior to national events. I was then selected for the GB squad

Tip for the top: Remain positively focused and set yourself short term goals which are achievable with hard work and determination. Ultimately the long-term goals become closer and less like a fantasy

First GB selection year: 2006

Closest friend in sport: There are many so I don't want too choose between them!

Favourite sport other than synchro: Speed swimming

Three words that best describe you: Dedicated, ambitious and reserved

Would most like to meet:  Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom

Biggest influence on career: Supportive parents who are involved in the sport

Any pets: I have three cats called Topaz, Midnight and Harlequin

Favourite venue and why: Manchester Aquatics Centre probably because in 2002 the Inter-District was held there as a test sport for the Commonwealth Games. It was the first time I was selected for the Northern Counties Team

Tips to relax: Have a warm bath then snuggle up in bed with a good film and some chocolate

Education: I am college doing my AS levels

Ultimate ambition: To compete at the Olympics in 2008 and 2012 as well as at the Commonwealth Games in 2010

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: At the start of a career in dentistry but still involved in synchronised swimming even if it is in a different role
