GENERAL INFORMATION

First sporting success: Winning club championships when I was nine

Finest sporting moment: Being selected for European Championships (2006). Breaking the BUSA short course 200I.M record (Sheffield, 05). Also all my medals from Nationals (2002-2004).

Tip for the top: Never give up, nothing is as hard as you think

First GB selection year: 2006

Sporting hero: Steven Gerrard

Closest friends in sport: Everyone at Nova

Other sporting successes: I played football for my school and also Staffordshire until I was 14 but had to give it up for swimming. I also played cricket for a boy’s team and got the best bowling averages, which the lads weren’t happy about!

Favourite sport other than swimming: Football- I’m a massive Liverpool fan

Three words that best describe you: Competitive, sarcastic and happy

Would most like to meet: Steven Gerrard and Cliff Richard

Biggest influence on career: Family, my boyfriend and all my coaches.

Toughest opponent: Anyone that is faster than me

Any pets: I have 2 cats called Daisy and Jack

Biggest passion away from swimming: Football

Favourite venue and why: Ponds Forge, Sheffield. The pool has a great atmosphere when it’s full and the pool is fast

Education: I am studying a Biochemistry degree at Nottingham University

Ultimate ambition: To win an Olympic medal

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Earning a lot of money hopefully
