GENERAL INFORMATION

Finest sporting moment:
Qualifying for the World Championships

Tip for the top: Keep working hard and be patient

First GB selection year: 2006

Sporting heroes: Ian Sopp

Closest friend in sport: Matthew Trodden

Favourite sport other than swimming: I like watching football

Three words that best describe you: Hard-working, intelligent and honest

Would most like to meet: Jess Stelling

Most prized possession: My degree in Engineering

Biggest influence on career: Alistair Johnstone -my first coach

Toughest opponent: Andy Hunter

How do you prepare to go out and race: I prepare by clearing my mind and focusing on the task in hand. To help me to relax I like to listen to music. I like a lot of bands including Embrace and Snow Patrol

Biggest disappointment: Missing out on the Commonwealth team in 2006

Ultimate ambition: To make the Olympic team and to bring back a medal as part of the relay squad

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Probably not swimming, hopefully doing some sort of engineering
