Fran was the youngest member of the Team England swim squad at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne where she won silver medals in the 4x100m Freestyle and 4x100m Medley relays.

She was a member of the European Championships 4x100m Medley Relay team that took gold in August 2006.

Away from swimming, Fran finds herself quite partial to a Chicken feast pizza at Pizza Hut and loves shopping.

Fran is currently in Australia until 16th April. She is completing her final preparations for the World Championships. This will include some outdoor 50m training and a taper into the event itself. She is competing in the 50m and 100m Freestyle, the I.M. relay and the 4x100m Freestyle relay. There is a good chance she will compete in the 4x200m Freestyle relay also.

After the Worlds she will be going to Perth to compete in the Australian Age Group Championships to try some other events whilst in a tapered condition. The Australians have adopted a clever process to ensure the English girls have no chance of winning... they are not allowed to compete in the finals!
