Favourite event: To swim; 400m I.M, but to watch the 200m Freestyle.
Finest ever performance/Why: Commonwealth Games in Melbourne 2006 where I won two silver medals, one as part of Scotland’s 4x200m Freestyle Relay team, the other in the 400m I.M. The amount of Scottish success in the pool made it a great event to compete in.
First senior international meet: The World University Games in 2005.

Most prized possession: My swimming bag. It’s the only one I’ve ever had. I was given it when I started swimming about 20 years ago. It’s looking a bit old now!
Biggest influence on career: Previous coaches Joyce Waddel, Doug Campbell and Ian Turner.
Sporting relations: My dad had a land-speed record once
