GENERAL INFORMATION

First sporting success: Winning a bronze medal at the ASA National Age Groups in 2002

Finest sporting moment: Reaching the European Junior Championships in the 1500m

Tip for the top: Train hard

First GB selection year: 2005

Sporting hero: David Davies

Other sporting successes: I competed in the Triathlon at the London Youth Games

Favourite sport other than swimming: Basketball. I don't follow and team in particular though. I just like to watch the game

Three words that best describe you: Hard-working, funny and lively

Would most like to meet: Grant Hackett or Ian Thorpe

Most prized possession: My computer!

Biggest influence on career: Goals that I set myself. They keep me focused and driven. My goal at the moment is to train and compete to the best of my ability so that I can make an Olympic Games

Any other family connections to sport: No, not a sausage

Toughest opponent: James Clarke

Biggest passion away from swimming: I don't know really!

Favourite venue and why: Manchester Aquatics Centre. I swim well there and it's just a really nice place to compete

Tips to relax: Listen to relaxation music

Family: My mum is called Julie and my dad is called Darren.  I've got a younger brother called Nick who used to swim when he was younger but he got Glandular Fever and never got back into swimming after that

Ultimate ambition: To go to the Olympics

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Hopefully I would have gone to an Olympic Games and swam well
