GENERAL INFORMATION:

Favourite Event: 50m freestyle followed closely by 50m butterfly – I love the sprints!

Finest ever performance/Why: The heat swim in the 100m Freestyle in Beijing. I needed a two second personal best to make the 34 point relay team and knocked two and a half seconds off my personal best.

First senior international meet: 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens

Role models: Don’t have any which is really weird

My aspirations are: To put the 50m Freestyle record out of the reach of anyone else for a long time and continue to be the fastest disabled athlete in the water.

Tip for the top: You have to push yourself. No one else can really do that.

Life after swimming: Is there such a thing?  I’ve had a life after swimming and I came back. I will always compete – there’s always Masters.

Music: Loud, heavy, annoying stuff. Heavy metal various

If I wasn‘t a swimmer I would be:  Another kind of athlete. Probably a snowboarder or a surfer. That’s what I was on my way to do before my accident

Describe yourself in three words: Ostentatious, gregarious and eccentric

Most prized possession: My life – especially after my motorbike accident.

Biggest influence on career: My little brother.

Sporting Relations: Would like to have relations with lots of sporting girls.
