Favourite Event: 100m backstroke
Finest ever performance/Why: My 100m backstroke swim at the Paralympic trials where I made the time for Beijing, that was my proudest moment. It was a British record too so I was the fastest in Britain after that.
First senior international meet: Danish Open 2007
Role models: I always liked Ian Thorpe. Also, anyone who can get up at 5am in the morning and train at their best is a hero to me.
My aspirations are: To win Paralympic gold. To stand on top of the podium and be best in the World and to break the World record
Tip for the top: If you want to make it to the top you really have to work for it, when you go to a competition there’s no substitute for knowing you’ve worked hard and couldn’t have done any harder. Always than the people around you, your parents and coach because without them you wouldn’t get anywhere.
Life after swimming: Probably a Uni degree. Sit back and live the live everyone else does.
Music: Everything and anything
If I wasn‘t a swimmer I would be a: I would have stuck in a school and be at Uni after this summer.
Describe yourself in three words: Talkative / Confident / Competitive
Would most like to meet: Trish Stratus
Most prized possession: My trunks
Biggest influence on career: Coaches and parents
Sporting Relations: My dad is a marathon runner and my sister is a top age group swimmer in Scotland.
