PERSONAL:

Favourite event: 100m Fly.

Finest ever performance/Why: First European Championship Gold in 1997, it was my first international gold and the start of a enjoyable career.

First senior international meet: Paralympics in 1996, I was one of the youngest members.

Role models: Steve Redgrave.

My aspirations are: To become Paralympic Champion.

Tip for the top: No pain, no gain – the pain doesn’t last for too long!

Life after swimming: Become a full-time Property Manager.

Music: Prodigy is good to listen to before racing, but I like a mixture of music.

If I wasn’t a swimmer/diver I would be a: Footballer (for the money!)

Describe yourself in three words: Ambitious, focussed and determined.

Would most like to meet: Michael Schumacher

Most prized possession: My first European Championship gold medal.

Biggest influence on career: My coach, Michelle Weltman.

Sporting relations: No.
