ASA TEAM MANAGER TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
“Very informative and useful course”
“Excellent course, well delivered”
Welcome to the ASA Team Manager Training and Development Programme
Every day of the week a vast army of volunteers support our swimmers of all ages to ensure they are able to enjoy their sport in a safe & caring environment. Our swimmers deserve that commitment, but the need to provide a constant supply of trained volunteers is a major challenge to all of our Clubs. The ASA is committed to the ongoing support of all its volunteers & as part of that process, we have introduced the ASA Team Manager Training and Development Programme – helping to equip volunteers with the necessary skills, knowledge, support & guidance in undertaking a team manager role.
The Programme consists of two modules;
(a) Local Competitions – aimed at the novice Team Manager - ‘volunteered’ to help with the Club Team for the first time,
(b) Overnight Stays & Travel Abroad - for the more adventurous……..
Both presentations can be covered locally, in an evening, delivered by an experienced Team Manager as Presenter.
Please use the material available on this section of the Web Site to help support your valuable work in this area. BUT remember you actually need to attend the course(s) to gain the opportunity to share experiences with others. You also will get the much sought after 2 points towards the ASA Teacher/Coach Licensing Scheme & your Club will gain additional evidence which is a key part of their submission for Swim 21 accreditation.
Arranging a course couldn’t be easier – as a Club, simply read the section on organising a course & ring your Regional Office for a list of approved Presenters in your area. It couldn’t be easier & sharing those anecdotes with each other can teach us all so much.
Our swimmers need you – please give up a little of your time……………”
If you have not already attended one of the above workshops, please contact your regional office for details of a course near you.
