Rebecca's Quote

Swimming does it all! It’s great for your health, it’s a fun activity and most importantly it’s the only sport that can save your life.

As the governing body involved in every component of swimming, we want to give everyone the opportunity to learn to swim and enjoy swimming for health and fun. Plus if you're over 60 or 16 and under, it's now even easier thanks to the government's Free Swimming initiative.

The links on the left-hand side of this page will tell you everything you need to know to get started in swimming and explain about how you can access Free Swimming.

Whether you’re thinking of learning for the first time or returning to swimming after a few years - whether you’d like to join a club and try competitive swimming or just get in the water for leisure, you should be able to find the information you need by clicking on the grey boxes for each relevant section.

We might not all be able to become Olympic Champions but we can all enjoy the water. So what are you waiting for? Take the plunge and Go Swim!
