Charlotte Atkinson made the step up to the senior ranks of British Swimming to make her debut at the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest after two national titles at the British Championships, then followed by a second Commonwealth Games in 2018.
The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games was a second time representing the Isle of Man for Atkinson, she made the finals of the 100m and 200m Butterfly and finished fifth and fourth respectively. Her results down under have secured her a call-up for the British team once again at this summer European Aquatics Championships in Glasgow.
Atkinson stormed to victory in both the Women's 50m Butterfly and 200m Butterfly events at the 2017 British Championships in Sheffield and earned herself a seat on the plane to Budapest.
A permanent and consistent fixture at the top of swimming in Great Britain, Atkinson has featured in a British Championship finals every year since 2014, the same year she made a debut appearance at the Commonwealth Games representing the Isle of Man in Glasgow.
