Charlotte Atkinson made the step up to the senior ranks of British Swimming to make her debut at the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest after two national titles at the British Swimming Championships.
Atkinson (Isle of Man) stormed to victory in both the Women's 50m Butterfly and 200m Butterfly events at the 2017 British Championships in Sheffield and earned herself a seat on the plane to Budapest this summer.
A permanent and consistent fixture at the top of swimming in Great Britain, Atkinson has featured in a British Championship finals every year since 2014, the same year she made a debut appearance at the Commonwealth Games representing the Isle of Man in Glasgow.
