Chris Walker-Hebborn made his second appearance at an Olympic Games in 2016 and this time came away a silver medallist as he made up one quarter of the Men's medley relay team.
He came home from the 2017 British Swimming Championships
with two gold medals in the 50m and 100m Backstroke.
The Men's relay team also set a new British record of 3:29.24 on the way to that final medal in the pool GB and the final swimming event of Rio 2016.
Walker-Hebborn (England) also featured as part of the relay quartet that secured Great Britain the title in the Mixed 4x100m Medley at the European Championships earlier in 2016.
He had a strong conclusion to the 2014-15 season with a strong set
of performances at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan, securing two individual
finals and a relay gold in the mixed 4x100 medley relay in world record time. Strong domestic
performances handed him both British titles in 50 and 100m Backstroke.
2014 saw Walker-Hebborn take two Commonwealth golds at Glasgow 2014, individual 100m Backstroke followed up by the title in the 4x100 medley relay. Later that year he followed up with four medals at the European Championships in Berlin; three golds and a bronze.
The 2013 season he won his first British Champs gold over 200m Backstroke, qualifying for his debut World Championships in Rome where he reached the final and finished ninth.
After winning silver and bronze in the 100 and 200 Backstroke respectively at the 2012 domestic Championships and qualifying for his first Olympics, he debuted over both backstroke distances at London 2012.
Walker-Hebborn narrowly missed out on a maiden senior major medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, finishing fourth in the 200m Backstroke, before qualifying for his second World Championships in 2011.
He made his potential was clear back in 2008 when he starred at the European Junior Championships in Belgrade, returning with four golds including a 100m and 200m Backstroke double.
