Charlotte Henshaw Torso

Charlotte Henshaw has been on the British Para-Swimming Team for almost ten years and has won medals at every level of competition including silver at the Paralympics in London and last year she lowered her PB for the first time in five years and she went on to win the silver medal in Glasgow.

2016 saw Henshaw continue to deliver world class swimming for Great Britain as she won another Paralympic medal, this time bronze in the Women's SB6 100m Breaststroke after taking gold in the same event at the IPC European Championships earlier in the season.

Henshaw returned to form in 2015, a bronze medal in MC 100m Breaststroke at the British Para-Swimming International saw her qualify for her third World Championships. At the IPC Worlds Henshaw secured herself a silver in the SB6 100m Breaststroke in a European record time.

In 2013 Henshaw won 100m Breaststroke bronze at the IPC Swimming World Championships in Montreal, repeating her result from the British International Disability Swimming Championships in Sheffield earlier in the year.

She competed at her second Paralympic Games at London 2012, setting a new Paralympic record of 1:39.64 in the qualifying heats of the SB6 100m Breaststroke. She went on to win silver in the final, a mere 0.03 seconds away from gold.

In 2010 Henshaw showed no signs of slowing down when she qualified fastest for the SB6 100m Breaststroke final at the IPC World Championships in Eindhoven, ultimately securing a silver medal.

Her Paralympic debut in 2008 saw her finish in fourth place in her specialist event, the SB6 100m Breaststroke, and she continued to build her international reputation the following year, winning a gold medal in the same event at 2009 IPC European Swimming Championships in Reykjavik.
