Katie Clarke returned to the sport in the winter of 2015 and having previously competed at the London 2012 Olympic Games and the last two World Championships she claimed a place for Great Britain in the 2016 Olympics.
In 2012, Katie participated in her debut Olympic Games in London and was part of the Great Britain synchronised swimming team that finished in sixth place.
In 2011, she was part of the Combination team to win bronze in Sheffield at the European Champions Cup and also travelled and competed with the Team and in the Combination at her first World Championships in Shanghai.
She cemented her place in the Great Britain squad in 2010, finishing sixth in the Team event at the European Championships then eighth in the Team at the FINA World Cup in Changshu.
Kate's international career has been on an upward spiral since winning the junior trials at the 2008 National Championships. She competed in the duet, team and combination at the 2009 European Junior Championships in Gloucester, finishing 11th, 10th and eighth respectively. She also made the step up to senior international level in 2009, competing for Great Britain at the World Trophy in Montreal.
