The World Class Swimming Programme are recruiting a Coach Intern to assist our Bath National Centre coaching team with the technical and operational delivery of the British Swimming National Centre programme.
The Coach Intern will develop coaching skills and build practical experience of coaching world class athletes.
The roles will support our coaching and sports science and medicine teams to deliver agreed performance plans for targeted athletes. It is expected that the Coach Intern can also oversee the delivery of coaching sessions in the absence of the National Centre coach.
The successful applicants will need to embrace the British Swimming Team Coaching behaviours and practices. Effective communication skills are a must, along with a track record in coaching senior athletes, and an appetite for continued learning with a flexible approach to coaching methods.
Applicants are expected to have a minimum of an ASA Level 2 coaching qualification or equivalent with a commitment to achieving Level 3.
