GBR sign off with double silver in Hong Kong

Both James Guy and Ben Proud close their 2016 FINA/airweave World Cup campaigns with silver medals at the ninth and final leg in Hong Kong.

Guy returned to the podium on the second competition day in Hong Kong to improve his finishing position and took silver in the Men’s 200m Freestyle.

The Millfield swimmer was joined on the podium by Pieter Timmers of Belgium and Daiya Seto of Japan who took gold and bronze respectively.

Proud also bettered his race result on day two, he touched home second to claim Great Britain another silver and a fourth medal of the weekend.

Ben finished behind Russia’s Vladimir Morozov and ahead of South Africa’s Chad Le Clos.
