Wild and Maine lower PBs to reach final

Cassie Wild and Anna Maine lowered their personal bests in the 100m Backstroke on their way to the final on the first day at the World Junior Championships. 

Wild finished in seventh place overall and touched in a time of 1:00.58 while Maine qualified in eighth place after finishing in 1:00.71.

In the men's 100m Backstroke, Nicholas Pyle equalled his personal best as he qualified for the final in eighth place with a time of 55.48.
