Aimee Willmott joined the British Swimming Board in 2022 as Athlete Representative, following an outstanding career in the pool.

Aimee’s role will see her act as a crucial go-between from the athlete body to the Board, aiming to ensure that athletes from across the aquatic disciplines are appropriately represented, and are able to have their voice heard as part of British Swimming’s drive for continuous improvement.

Having accumulated a wealth of knowledge during her career as both an athlete at the highest-level, and a firmly-established member of the Olympic team, Aimee was fully-deserving of her votes from fellow athletes.

A 12-year career in the pool saw Aimee compete at 3 Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020), as well as 3 Commonwealth Games, including a 400m Individual Medley Gold at Gold Coast 2018.
