Training for Para-Swimming Classifiers

Following the success of the British Para-swimmers at previous Paralympic Games, British Para-Swimming are looking to recruit classifiers to be part of our journey in the lead up to Tokyo and beyond.

We need classifiers to assess swimmers with a Physical, Visual or Intellectual impairment, enabling them to compete and progress through the Paralympic Pathway for swimming, could that be you.

Are you?

  • A qualified doctor or Physiotherapist in practice for at least 2 years:
          You could become a Medical classifier for physical impaired swimmers

  • A Level 2/3 UKCC coach:

  • A qualified Ophthalmologist or Optometrist:

          You could become a classifier for visual impaired swimmers

All roles are voluntary and the appropriate training will be provided.
