Ahead of the FINA Short-Course World Championships in Melbourne that got underway this week, we spoke to freestyle-specialist Bella Hindley about her preparation for the event, and her go-to meal for fuelling both her training, but also imporantly, her recovery.
Bella has endured a solid few days of competition in Melbourne, earning solid race experience across the Women's 50m and 100m Freestyle, and the Women's 4x50m Freestyle Relay.
With a strict training regime and early morning sessions, Bella knows just how crucial it is that her body is fuelled and prepared correctly in order to train at the highest level. So after a gruelling session, recovery begins immediately, and a staple in Bella's regime is her versatile breakfast burrito! The options the recipe gives you are endless, says Bella, and can include any leftovers or anything kicking around the kitchen, whilst also containing those essential nutrients to optimise your recovery...
