Jack McMillan qualified for his first summer World Championships this summer for British Swimming following a strong showing at the 2023 British Swimming Championships.
His place on the Worlds team for 2023 was secured following a fourth-place finish in the 200m Freestyle in the final of the British Championships, as he made an impression in what was a world-class final and sets GB up for a strong podium shot in the Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay in Japan. He also finished in seventh place in the 100m Freestyle.
Prior to his call-up for Great Britain, McMillan spent the first part of his career with the Irish team – competing at the 2021 European Championships and the Olympic Games in Tokyo, with the latter competition seeing him lead off the Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay.
