Tom spent the start of 2017 focusing on the 10m and Mixed 3m Synchro events but that didn’t hold him back from winning medals at each leg of the World Series in the 10m Platform.

Tom then competed at the Benchmark meet of the year – the World Championships in Budapest. He had a busy programme with the 10m Synchro, the Mixed 3m Synchro and the 10m Platform.

He just missed the medals with Dan Goodfellow before winning silver in the Mixed 3m Synchro with Grace Reid and then capped his World Championship campaign with gold in his main event.

Tom excelled in the 10m final by leading through every round of the final before finishing with a huge score of 590.95 to secure that top step of the podium – eight years after winning his first World gold.
