The British Diving Team have been putting the finishing touches to their training as they prepare to take on the world’s best at the FINA/NVC Diving World Series in London (1 – 3 May).
Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley will be in action in his home pool as he aims to show his progress through the 2015 season.
World Cup bronze medallist Jack Laugher has seen his confidence raised by winning gold in the Dubai leg of the series and will hope the home crowd can push him on to success in the 3m Springboard.
“I am feeling great at the moment off the back of the two gold medals and training in London is going well so I am feeling confident heading into the competition,” Laugher said.
“When I started doing the World Series five years ago I was lucky if I beat anyone and not to be beating everyone is amazing really and a bit of a surprise if I'm being honest. To back up the first gold medal with another one was really important for me and I am aiming for the hat-trick this weekend.
“All the focus is on the World Championships so hopefully I can continue my good form in London, bag some Olympic spots for Rio and take some of the pressure off - I am really looking forward to it.”
Tonia Couch will showcase her skill in both the individual and the synchro Platform events as she aims to continue her medal winning form in London. She will team up with European Champion Sarah Barrow in the synchro.
Alicia Blagg and Becky Gallantree will be aiming for consistency in the 3m Synchro and individual events on Friday and Saturday.
The team sees new members added as the Brits take part in the mixed 10m and 3m Synchro events for the first time at a World Series event.
Grace Reid and James Heatly are in action in the 3m Synchro and Georgia Ward and Matty Lee will be ready for battle in the 10m Synchro.
