Matthew Dixon completed his third clean sweep in as many years on the final day of the 2014 British Gas Elite Junior Diving Championships in Plymouth.
Having already won the 1m and 3m Springboard titles in his home pool, the 14-year old added the Group B platform title on the final day to replicate his hat-trick of individual Group C titles from 2012 and 2013.
Dixon dominated the final to win gold by nearly 90 points, ultimately finishing on 487.80 ahead of Plymouth teammate Ollie Piper (398.10) and City of Leeds’ Anthony Harding (394.55).
Francesca Del Celo signed off from a successful meet by defending her Group A 3m Springboard title for her second gold of the week.
The 18-year old, who won senior 1m bronze at this season’s British Gas National Cup in Southend, scored 426.45 for victory to add to her 1m Springboard gold from day two in Plymouth.
Competing in the top age group for the first time, City of Leeds’ Lydia Rosenthall claimed silver on 394.15 while City of Sheffield’s Millie Fowler won bronze on 374.35.
Kyle Kothari beat a trio of City of Sheffield divers to claim top honours in the Group A Platform final.
The Crystal Palace diver impressed to score 544.70 for victory ahead of Ross Haslam (499.00) and Elliot Beeden (411.75) with Hayden Liggins (403.85) narrowly behind his teammates home in fourth.
City of Sheffield came out on top in the Girls’ Group B 3m Springboard as Millie Haffety and Sarah Leach filled the top two spots on the podium.
Haffety ultimately claimed gold on 353.85 ahead of Leach’s 351.25 while Crystal Palace’s Maddie Sweet took the final podium place on 339.85.
Ollie Crompton (City of Leeds) and Scarlett Mew Jensen (Crystal Palace) claimed the final titles on offer with respective victories in the Group C 1m Springboard.
Crompton scored 320.25 for gold ahead of Cambridge’s Ben Cutmore (304.25) and Star Diving’s Alfie Brown (301.25) while Mew Jensen took victory on 299.95 ahead of Leeds’ Emily Bearpark (295.40) and Southampton’s Emily Martin (293.65).
