Young British Divers enjoy success in Stockholm

The British Diving Team have returned from the 7 Nations event in Stockholm with three golds, five silvers and three bronze medals.

On the first day of competition the team won five medals from five events which included gold for Millie Hafferty and Millie Fowler in the 3m Synchro.

The City of Sheffield pair scored 258.24 to take their victory.

Fowler repeated the performance in the 1m Springboard when she scored a total of 380.85 to take her second gold. Lydia Rosenthall scored 374.40 to secure the silver behind her team-mate.

Rosenthall (City of Leeds) won her sirst silver on the first day of competition in the 3m Springboard as she finished just six points off the gold medal with 403.25 points.

James Heatly (Edinburgh Diving) secured a gold, a silver and a bronze over the two days with his gold coming in the 3m Synchro where he teamed up with Ross Haslam (City of Sheffield). His silver was won on the first day in the 1m Springboard with a score of 471.85. His bronze came in the 3m Springboard with a score of 486.70.

City of Leeds’ Anthony Harding won two silver medals as he made an improvement from 10th place last year. He won medals in both Springboard events with his best score coming in the 3m event where he took 439.05 points. Connor Van Dal (Southend) also won a medal in the 3m event with bronze after scoring 392.95.

Maddie Sweet (Crystal Palace) secured her bronze in the 3m Springboard after scoring a total of 342.60.

The British Diving Team finished the competition with 11 medals from 10 events.
