Athletes sought for the UKAD Committee

22 Aug 2017

UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) is recruiting for new committee members to join its Athlete Committee.

The purpose of the committee is to “provide opinion and advice to the Board of UK Anti-Doping on athlete-related anti-doping matters”. The Committee is chaired by Sarah Winckless who is a UKAD Board member.

We are looking for current athletes or recently retired athletes (within three years) to attend three meetings a year (at least one of which must be in person) and locations vary in order to help attendance.

The term limits are for three years. The role is unpaid but travel costs and reasonable expenses will be covered.

If you would like to apply please send an email to communications@ukad.org.uk explaining in no more than one side of A4; why you are interested in the role, your commitment to clean sport and why you believe you can make a contribution to the work of the committee.

Interviews will be arranged to ensure a fair process. If you are successful you will be asked to provide an endorsement from your NGB or equivalent sporting body. The deadline for applications is Monday 2 October 2017.

If you have any questions please send them to the email address above.
