Steven Seligmann will join Aquatics GB in November following 12 years as the Performance Director of British Shooting.
Joining Aquatics GB in the Performance Team Development Director role, Seligmann will be tasked with leading delivery in performance coach and support staff development, psychology, performance lifestyle and will lead on the specific female performance development project to help shape the environments that will drive Aquatics GB forward in the LA 2028 cycle.
As the Performance Director for British Shooting since 2013, Seligmann has spearheaded the evolution of British Shooting into a consistently top-performing sport on the world stage, with strong medal success at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
A respected Performance Director, coach, coach educator, and high-performance strategist, known for his emphasis on excellence balanced with athlete and staff wellbeing, and for fostering a culture of trust, belonging and clarity.
Bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in high-performance sport, including with the England & Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Scotland – in addition to his appointment as Independent Non-Executive Director of GB Snowsport in October 2023 and recently as Independent Non-Executive Director for Scottish Rugby – Seligmann will be an integral part of the World Class Leadership Team and will be responsible for creating a world-leading performance team development programme to assist Aquatics GB meet its performance goals.
