Manchester:

The city hosted a highly successful games in 2002 with a powerful legacy that saw regeneration throughout Manchester but what would it need to be ready for a Commonwealths 20 years on:

·        Refurbishment of the aquatics centre would be needed.

·        Could the venue meet the demands of an international diving event

·        How would the Synchronised Swimming competition fit into existing venue space

Liverpool:

Liverpool has a long a varied sporting history but could it meet the needs of a major international multi-sport event, here’s what was identified through our poll:

·        Currently the city has no diving facility

·        Main swimming pool would need expansion for elite competition

·        Does the city have the capacity to host Synchro?

·        It would be a great driver for further regeneration of the city

Birmingham:

Birmingham has never played host to a major multi-sport event and would need to adapt to be able to deliver, here’s some of your thoughts on if they won the bid:

·        Would a temporary pool setup at the NEC complex or could this be the driver for permanent 50m pool in the city?

·        A great opportunity to market the city to a worldwide audience

London:

The capital hosted a hugely successful games in 2012

·        It has all the required venues to be able to deliver

·        Do we want to return to London so soon for another major multi-sport event?

·        An opportunity to further the Olympic and Paralympic legacy?
