Dates confirmed for 2025 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships

28 Jun 2024

Get the dates in your diary for next year's Aquatics GB Swimming Championships - with our flagship event returning to the London Aquatics Centre from 15th-20th April 2025.

The 2025 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships will again boast a six-day, fully-integrated para-swimming and swimming programme, following on from the success of this year's event, which saw sell-out crowds in the stands to watch genuinely world-class racing and a series of British and world records fall, as well as more than half a million streams across BBC Sport and Channel 4 platforms.

Next year's showcase will be the key selection event for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships and Para Swimming World Championships, both of which are set to take place in Singapore later in 2025 - as well as young swimmers competing to make a host of junior and representative outfits.

It will also give hundreds of Britain's top aquatic athletes the opportunity to compete in the iconic London Aquatics Centre pool, in the second of a five-year deal that sees our top Aquatics GB swimming event returning to the capital all the way to the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

With the dates now locked in, Aquatics GB CEO Drew Barrand said: "It is very exciting for us to be able to get these dates in the calendar and announced so far in advance. This hopefully allows every athlete and coach to best plan their preparations leading up to the 2025 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships - and also makes sure that every supporter, friend and family member can get those dates of 15th-20th April circled in the diary so they can be sat in the stands, cheering on just as loudly as they did this year!

"The success of April's event was a truly proud moment for everyone at Aquatics GB, and we are already looking ahead to how next year's Championships can make an even greater impact, both in and out of the pool.

"Our Olympic and Paralympic swimmers are now into the final weeks of preparation ahead of Paris 2024, when we know they will deliver some outstanding performances to make us all proud. I am sure that swimming fans will be excited to know exactly when they can see their favourite athletes back at the London Aquatics Centre - but for now, it's all eyes on Paris, and wishing luck to every one of our Aquatics GB athletes and staff involved at the Games.”

Speaking about the confirmed dates for 2025, Mark Basker, Everyone Active's Regional Contract Manager, said: “We're thrilled to once again host the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships at the London Aquatics Centre, with dates now confirmed for 2025. The 2024 event was absolutely spectacular, and we will be equally proud to play host again next year. The Championships are not only a showcase of Britain's top swimming talent but also an inspiration for the local community, and we can't wait to see the centre so full of energy again. We look forward to welcoming spectators, athletes and coaches to what promises to be an exciting week of competition in this iconic pool."

Edward Fane, Head of Venues at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, added: “It’s wonderful to welcome back the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships to the Park in 2025. It was great to watch the very best swimmers in the country at the London Aquatics Centre earlier this year as they competed for places in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We’ll be cheering them on in Paris and look forward to seeing them back in 2025 when the competition will be just as fierce to qualify for World Championship teams.”
