Entries have opened for the British Gas International Swimming Meet 2014 taking place from 24 -28 June in Manchester.
Now in its second year, the competition will attract a host of world class athletes including many who have qualified for this summer’s Commonwealth Games.
Open to able-bodied and Para-Swimming athletes from across the UK and abroad, the International Meet offers ideal preparation for senior and junior athletes ahead of benchmark competitions later in the year.
In a change to last year’s programme, and as part of a racing strategy implemented by British Swimming to promote faster morning swims by athletes, final races will be held during the morning session with heats the previous evening.
The five-day competition will also feature time trial relays to help home nation preparations for the Commonwealth Games and Club team relays.
