Francesca Halsall, James Guy and Siobhan-Marie O’Connor won medals on the opening day of competition of the FINA World Cup in Tokyo.
Halsall repeated her gold medal winning performance at the European Championships in the 50m Backstroke by winning the final.
Halsall lowered the British record to 26.42.
The Commonwealth champion backed up this performance later in the session with gold in the 50m Freestyle.

Guy swam close to the British record to secure silver in the 400m Freestyle in his first World Cup event of the new season.
Commonwealth 200m Individual Medley champion O’Connor, swam to bronze in the same event in Tokyo.
The competition continues into the second and final day tomorrow.
