Team GB’s first gold medallist of the Rio 2016 Olympics, Adam Peaty, is to receive a homecoming parade fit for a hero in his birthplace of Uttoxeter.

Team GB’s first gold medallist of the Rio 2016 Olympics, Adam Peaty, is to receive a homecoming parade fit for a hero in his birthplace of Uttoxeter.

Record breaking Peaty will travel through the streets of Uttoxeter on an open top bus on Saturday 1st October to thank fans for all the support given over the last few years and in particular during the Olympics.

Adam is looking to forward to meeting as many people as possible as he travels around his Staffordshire hometown and joined by his family and friends.

Everyone is invited to line the streets, waving their flags and hanging their bunting in celebration to commemorate the wonderful achievements of Uttoxeter’s Olympic Gold and Silver Medallist.

The open top bus tour will commence at 11am on Saturday 1 October 2016 from Byrds Lane, Uttoxeter
