Places still available for the BSCA Conference

14 Sep 2015

British Swimming Head Coach Bill Furniss will feature as one of the key note speakers at the British Swimming Coaches Association (BSCA) Conference which takes place from 25 – 27 September in Birmingham.

Places are still available to attend this conference which allows coaches the opportunity to share best practice and learn from experts from around the world.

The Conference will also see Millfield’s Head Coach Jol Finck give a key note speech. He guided James Guy to three gold medals at this year's World Championships as well as being a key member of the coaching team. French National Coach Romain Barnier who coaches World Champion Flo Manadou, Dutch elite Team Head Coach Marcel Wouda, and world renowned coach educator Wayne Goldsmith from Australia will also be in attendance.

The annual conference will also see the BSCA Awards announced which last year saw its first woman named Coach of the Year when Mel Marshall was recognised for her work with Adam Peaty in 2014.

Furniss said: “This conference is an important part of the coach education process as it’s one of the only opportunities that we have to get together and share our knowledge with our peers and other coaches from around the world.

“It will be good to see as many coaches there as possible as we enter the vital Olympic year and we all move forwards and build on our success this summer.”
