Tickets are now on general sale for the upcoming British Swimming Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, as we prepare to welcome back spectators to this flagship domestic meet.
With the 2020 Championships cancelled due to the first national lockdown, and 2021's British Swimming Selection Trials held behind closed doors and in a full COVID bubble event, this will be the first time in three years that fans will be sat in the stands, filling the arena with atmosphere.
Tickets for the 2022 British Swimming Championships (5th-10th April) went on sale through The Ticket Factory here at 10am on Wednesday 30th March, following a priority opportunity for athletes competing at the competition.

Tickets are available for heats and finals sessions on each of the meet's six days, with reduced rates for 'all heats' tickets, which provide access to every heat session across either the morning or afternoon heats. Full price lists are detailed below. All events shall have heats and finals, except for the 800m and 1500m Freestyle, which will be heat-declared winner. The fastest seven heats of each 50m, 100m and 200m event will be scheduled in the morning heats session, with any remainder heats swum in the afternoon heats. For the 400m events, the fastest six heats will be scheduled in the morning, with remaining heats swum in the afternoon session. The fastest heat of the 800m and 1500m Freestyle will swim in the evening session, with the next three fastest in the morning heats and any remaining heats swum in the afternoon.
In keeping with our intentions to host a large-scale, expansive British Championships, this year's competition will feature four finals per event - a Junior Final, a Priority Paris Final (building towards the 2024 Olympic Games), a B Final and the A Final, whose winner will be declared British champion.
On the prospect of having spectators back in the stands, Adam Clarke, British Swimming's Associate Performance Director for Strategy & Operations, said: "Our swimmers produced some incredible performances throughout 2021 - but the one thing that was missing was family, friends and aquatics fans cheering them on in the pool and celebrating with them in the stands throughout those moments. It is fantastic that we will have those important people back with us at Ponds Forge and roaring on the swimmers involved, because we know how much that support means to the athletes.”
British Swimming remain sensitive to those athletes whose entries were unable to be accepted for this year’s Championships.
This will be the first major chance for fans to watch athletes from Team GB's history-making Olympic swimming team live and in-person since that unforgettable performance last summer. It will be used as a key selection meet for numerous senior and junior national teams in 2022.
