Poppy Maskill

Poppy Maskill burst onto the scene in 2022 with a maiden international title at the Para Swimming World Series in Aberdeen, claiming victory in the MC 100m butterfly. 

The Alsager SC athlete is a multiple junior para-swimming national champion, and stepped up to claim her first senior gold at the Aberdeen 2022 World Series inc. British Para-Swimming Meet - earning Maskill a place among the 29-strong British team for the world championship this year.

She developed her international racing experience ahead of Madeira 2022 by winning a two medals at the Lignano Sabbiadoro Para-Swimming World Series event in March - taking multi-class gold in the MC 100m backstroke and silver in the MC 200m Freestyle in Italy.

In addition to her upcoming full senior debut for Great Britain at the World Para Swimming Championships in Madeira, Maskill has been selected to represent Team England at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
