Independent Non-Executive Director (INED)

Aquatics GB is seeking an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) to provide a vital contribution to the strategic leadership and development of high-performance aquatic sports in Great Britain.

Aquatics GB oversees Aquatics sports in Great Britain - Swimming, Para-Swimming, Diving, Artistic Swimming Water Polo and High Diving.

We are responsible internationally for the high-performance representation of the sport and as such, our mission is to nurture and to support all swimmers, divers, and para-swimmers responsible for those medal-winning moments.

The governing body is strengthening its Board as it looks to continue the momentum gained from successful performance outcomes at the Paris 2024 Games. At the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, Britain’s gold in the pool came from the Men’s 4x200m Freestyle team – backing up their Olympic title on the global stage and secured two diving medals to finish fifth on the diving medal table. Artistic Swimming picked up a bronze medal in the Mixed Duet Free marking a British sporting first in the event. At the 2025 World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore, Aquatics GB claimed 40 medals finishing fifth on the medal table.

Aquatics GB is seeking to attract applications from individuals with a strong legal background and senior executive experience and undertaken executive leadership roles bringing together experience of organisational leadership and operational delivery.

A remuneration fee of £4,000 per annum payable, in addition to reasonable travel and business expenses incurred in fulfilling the role. The appointment will be for a term of four years, with the opportunity for reappointment, subject to Aquatics GB’s Memorandum and Articles of Association.

If you feel that you have the skills and attributes for this role, then we would like to hear from you.

If you wish to apply for this role, please send via email/WeTransfer (free large file sending platform) a video recording of how your skills and experience meet the criteria for this position (5 minutes max) or send via email a CV and covering letter (written) to peopledepartment@aquaticsgb.com.
