Support Coach and Practitioner - Manchester Performance Centre

Aquatics GB is seeking a ‘Support Coach and Practitioner’ at the Manchester Performance Centre, the only integrated Aquatics GB Performance Centre in Great Britain, to support the Olympic and Paralympic Swimming programmes.

An excellent opportunity from September 2025 to join one of the most successful National Governing Bodies in the UK High Performance System has arisen. Aquatics GB (AGB) is the organisation that oversees Aquatics sports of Swimming, Para Swimming, Diving, Artistic Swimming and Water Polo in Great Britain.

Great Britain is one of the most successful Swimming nations in the World and the Manchester Performance Centre hosts some of the World’s best Swimmers with multiple Olympic and Paralympic medallists based at the centre.

We are at the start of the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic cycle, so this is an exciting time to join AGB as we look to build on the success of the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.

The ‘Support Coach and Practitioner’ post will give the post-holder practical on-deck developmental experience whilst providing coaching and task-based sports science delivery in a high-performance swimming environment. The role will support all athletes based in the centre plus any visiting world class programmes athletes as directed by the Performance Centre Lead Coach. The post will also be supported by a development programme, in addition to practical exposure in daily training.

Delivery of the role will be split equally between coaching and sports science support and will support both coaching groups in the centre. This position should develop an individual’s coaching skills, expertise and sports science competencies to be well equipped to take up future senior coaching or sports science roles in the national governing body environment or pathway in Great Britain in the future.

If you feel you have the skills and experience required and are passionate about being part of a high-performance team, we would love to hear from you.
