Since qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Katie Clark and Olivia Federici have been continuing their hard work to ensure they are at their best for the biggest sporting event in the world.

The London 2012 Olympians returned to the sport at the end of 2015 and have gone from strength-to-strength since then.

They qualified the quota place for Team GB in April and then competed at their home European Championships in May.

The Duet have also been working with world renowned coaches like former NPD Biz Price and Olympic medallist Andrea Fuentes.

Clark and Federici have been training in Majorca with Fuentes to polish the final touches to their routines and get used to the outdoor conditions.

Team Leader Karen Thorpe has been proud of their hard work and dedication to the programme throughout 2016.

“Katie and Olivia have been great ambassadors for the sport with their work ethic since returning to the sport in 2015."

“They have never been afraid to step up and work hard towards achieving the quota place and now for the Games," said Thorpe.

“They have been putting in some really good work in the pool over the last six months and their progression has been exciting to see.

“Both athletes have been instrumental in the choreography and music of the programmes and alongside our coach Katie Dawkins they have polished those routines ready to walk out in front of that crowd in Rio.”
